The initial problem - how can our customers connect with each other directly?
TD SYNNEX customers who are members of an internal membership group, CommunitySolv, needed a way to connect with each other directly. At the time, if they needed to find another business to collaborate with on a business deal, they were emailing information about what they were looking for to the CommunitySolv program managers and leadership, those people were then manually combing through the membership list to find companies that fit the description, and emailing the customer the names and contact information.

The Challenge:
Partners needed to be validated as both TD SYNNEX customers AND current members of CommunitySolv
We needed to collect some company information to get a baseline organization profile for partners to display
Process to ideate and map registration journey:
Worked with the internal stakeholders to identify the core information that was necessary to capture about the user and their business, while minimizing the effort and time spent by the user while registering
Separated information into "requirements for account creation" and "optional profile build content"
Designed multi-page registration process, including access validation by TD SYNNEX customer number

The new TD Synnex partner directory is a key part of bringing the TechSelect and Varnex communities into a single CommunitySolv community, said Paul Benson, president and owner of Virtual Communication Specialists, an Athens, Texas-based solution provider and TD Synnex channel partner.
“Before CommunitySolv and the partner directory, a channel partner couldn’t easily find partners to cover the entire nation or all the specialties,” he said. “There’s a lot of value in IT that needs taking care of. And so you need partners you can trust.”
