Ahead of the Lesbians Who Tech Summit in October 2023, Tegan Barron and Lane Hamilton designed and built a simple Bingo game for virtual conference participants to do alongside the panels and workshops. The squares include quintessential virtual event occurrences and snafus, like seeing someone’s pet, technical difficulties, or a “real” background instead of a filter, as well as lighthearted LGBTQ+ specific references, like seeing a Pride flag or hearing an astrology reference.
2023 Bingo was a hit, so Lane and Tegan reached out to some of their new connections from LWT (including me!) to recruit people to build an improved and upleveled Bingo game for the 2024 Summit. I was super excited about the project and came on as the Lead UX Designer.
